Lubbock is the eleventh largest city in Texas and is ranked eighty seventh in the US in terms of population. Traditionally, the cotton industry has been the forte for Lubbock. It has the world's largest contiguous area under cotton cultivation. The education and healthcare sectors in Lubbock are its largest economic drivers.
